Working for a friend, the spec was to clean this mid sized honey locust down to something ridiculous like 1/2 inch. It had a perfect mushroom shape. We climbed the tree and pruned out the dead twigs, even reduced some live growth. When we were finished we had lunch and looked at the tree, my friend and the ground worker marveled at how amazing the tree looked but to me it looked like a sad poodle that had just been sheared. It looked terrible, I didn't say anything, just cleaned up, got the check and went on my way.
