Today....

I'll never get tired of being able to winch 40' firs into the chipper whole, no processing required. I'm trying to stop myself, but still pondering buying another 12" Bandit with a winch to replace my BC1000 and have another 'good' chipper on both islands.

And top lowering out of the fir removals yesterday on the 300' line. Had some landscapers on site to help move material.

Man, I wish I had that many interested climbers in my area.....

Big day today, but to caption the photos, a sketchy dead madrone removal, some stained-glass artwork made by a regular customer of mine out of a cedar I took down a few years back, his 'field of moss' around the house, and a large dead doug fir removal.

Today was a bit more involved with working for the local rail. After doing a few typical tree jobs around a landing and a few crossings, the owner asked if I could mow along the rail itself. Got some nice rail gear adapted to the machine and got after it today. It went pretty well and I was able to get through about 1.5 linear miles of awful invasive junk! Only 10 more miles to go!

Thanks. Well, it’s certainly different if anything. It’s also a welcome type of work for this time of year. I can head out autonomously and have a worthwhile day of it. This old non-off-brand un-Chinese machine has been a pretty good decision after all. I have a lot of ideas for it. She’s getting properly painted real soon.
