Anyone know what the stock bridge length on the petzl sequoia is? Not sure if they measure from the outside of the stitched ends or the usable length between the front Ds.

My original, old, unused Sequoia came w/ 2 different bridge webbing lengths.
Stitching-to-stitching lengths (usable length between the front Ds) are: 6" and 8"231122 Sequoia Web -IMG_1154.JPG

I have the newer 2019 version with rope. Measured between the Ds was like 13-14"
What are you trying to do? I usually just knot one end of rope and play with it a little til I work out where I want the other knot

Replace my bridge. I have the original bridge and a knot blocked velocity bridge. Having two knot blocked bridges would be a little bulky. All the black Friday sales are making buying bridges an acceptable option. Might do one long and one short.

I hear ya. I had a few TM bridges that I bought last year, so I have two separate knotted bridges on mine, and it's no big deal, but it looked a little funny at first

Pretty sure it varies based on harness size. I have a size 1 and the stock bridge is 45cm, but I added a 40cm (which they use on size 0 I believe) to have two different lengths. Maybe the 50cm is stock for the size 2?

Replacement Petzl Sequoia bridges came in 25, 30 and 35 cm lengths, pretty sure still available - my old Sequoia harness originally came with a 30 cm bridge. Shorter sewn bridge length made it hard(er) to get into. I ended up going to the MBH - I found the Sequoia a bit of a pain to get in and out of (and the big ol' MBH leg pads are a lot nicer). Sequoia is lighter though and packs up smaller so I still use it now as a "travel harness" if packing bulk is an issue.

The 2019 version has a slightly different bridge design. The bridge ends are no longer spliced eyes but spliced "blocks" Its like a knot block but with a stitched termination that jams the front D. As such, the replacement bridges for the 2019 version are longer.

Thanks Phil - with some of the arb gear over the years, it looks like manufacturers make "running changes" through a production run - at least that's what they're called in the car biz. It can make getting parts a challenge. Some of it is just planned obsolescence too I'm sure, so you replace gear every "X" (fill in the number) of years. Maybe not a bad thing for textile products like harnesses. Cheers

I put an adjustable bridge on my 2019 Sequoia (non-srt). I felt like I couldn't get the bridge length correct. My saddle is probably too big, Petzl makes one but, I used the TreeRex replacement. I have DF knots on both sides. It fits perfectly and it isn't coming out. I use the original bridge when I need it longer or if I have two systems. I also have a spare.
