His birthday was actually on the 17th, but tonight we partied for my son, Andrew’s 21st birthday. So had a few Jamesons with him though he seemed well acquainted with Henesey, and claimed it’s his favorite lol. His mom had some custom labels made up for a few pints of Henesey.
He’s a good kid. Likes partying with his buddies and his girl, but is overall pretty responsible and respectful.

Basil Hayden is good but I don't understand their pricing for 80 proof stuff. The other Jim Beam premiums like Knob Creek and Baker's give way more bang for the buck

Funny thing is, when I was eyeballing this in the liquor store, I remembered you telling me something along those lines once before, but couldn't remember what brand to get instead. Once I posted this I went back thru the thread and found it. Next time!

I know how beer finishes in the bottle, but what happens to the whiskey? I thought that if it keeps fermenting after being sealed in the bottle, that it would carbonate it.

I think, from my very limited understanding, is that as long as it's properly sealed it won't continue to ferment. Not really sure though!

Vintage Port – 1975

It’s not whiskey but it’s darn good.
I bought it in Porto, Portugal when I was there many years ago. (~$90 back in the day)

Stored n a couple of basements until now. (I have 1 bottle left in the cellar)
Time to drink it . . . . . . . . . . many days worth !

The port glass is Portugal crystal “Atlantis”. (think Portugal’s version of Ireland’s Waterford)

I know how beer finishes in the bottle, but what happens to the whiskey? I thought that if it keeps fermenting after being sealed in the bottle, that it would carbonate it.

Once bottled, very little changes. However, I feel that the "neck pour" is often times far more rough than a bottle that has been open for months.

Very interesting. Wine does that, so it sounds very plausible. Now I am gonna have to go get a fresh bottle
