Product Recall DMM Compact Swivel Units

Am I understanding you guys right? They sent back different swivels than the ones you sent in? So they gave you a piece of used equipment with no user history? That sounds just a little bit wrong to me.
I have not heard that the ones they are sending to us are used equipment. If someone can verify one way or another, please let us know.

That's what I'm claiming. My originals were lightly used and I take good care of my gear. The ones I received in return look more used (anodizing worn off the edges, nicks, etc), have different serial numbers, and have dates of manufacture that preceed the date of recall.

Wow just when you thought DMM couldn’t make it any worse at this point the go all “hold my beer” and prove us wrong.

My Director swivels appear to be new - no wear whatsoever - and they had the new product tag attached. What's confusing is that the date of manufacture is still earlier than the date of recall (22306). Maybe they were unsold units that were returned, modified, and shipped out again? At least they are newer than the ones I sent in.

The Nexus swivels I received, although newer than my originals, are definitely used and more worn that my originals.

Somehow it feels a little unnerving to get used gear from a manufacturer - almost like they're "hot" - but if I bought these from a climber I knew, I doubt I'd give it a second thought.

So they are not new, just "re-worked" stock units that were sitting around for the past year or two? Must have been sitting in a bin getting jostled about.

Exactly my thoughts. I'm worried that Wesspur and Sherril will have a big sale on these units that have been returned to them, for like 50% off, thereby making it even harder for folks that wanna sell theirs off second hand.

Got mine today. I had four units, 3 directors and 1 swivel. All look to be in perfect, new condition with no marks or scuffing. My one complaint is I have four, but they only sent the locking nuts and locking screws for two. No biggy as I have others on hand, but if I didn't, I would be yelling at them once again.
Glad to have it back so I can finally set up my harness the way I had it.

Fedex delivered mine to the wrong address. I give up.
Last week I got an email saying I'd be getting an email (with a tracking number) but five days later so far no second email from DHL. I wait with bated breath . . . :)

Addenda:
. . . . And . . . today 03-Jul-2023 a whole lot of return swivels and biners arrived via DHL - brand new, in packaging, with an extra oval DMM biner thrown in. So kudos to DMM for being as good as their word in the end. Takes a while to get stuff to the wilds of Canada I guess. Never did hear more from ISC about their Quickie Killer replacement (even though the numbers should have been far fewer than the DMM recall/ replacement due to short time on market). Sigh. New gear blues . . . Cheers all.
