Working out of Hunt, TX, we are looking for an arborist to join our tree care crew. We work solely for one landowner and maintain the specimen trees across several of the ranches throughout Texas. Most of the work is very fine pruning over high end landscape with tight access. Airspading and PHC also occupy a large chunk of our time. While we don't do too many removals and all the glorious crane work, this is a great opportunity to hone climbing skills and advance your knowledge on the more intricate and detailed items of arboriculture involved with soil and root health. We're willing to train and develop candidates in order to build up a better team as well as provide means for professional advancement.

$22/hr. or more with experience and relocation expenses can be negotiated.

Overnight travel will be required at times, for week long stretches. Travel time and expenses will be covered by the company. Monday through Friday, 9 hours a day with options for more; hardly ever a weekend.

Benefits include:
  • 401(k)
  • 401(k) matching
  • Dental insurance
  • Flexible spending account
  • Health insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Vision insurance
We are an equal opportunity employer. Send me a message if you'd like to discuss it further. Thanks for looking.

Sounds like a great opportunity.

This single landowner, he's evidently a Gozillionaire. So, in addition to the great benefits offered, why doesn't he bump up the hourly pay to 25$/hr, no skin off his back and problem solved.

I appreciate all the comments. The cost of living is pretty low there, but maybe there's some fringe benefits to have as well for the right person. It is a cool gig and we get to do projects you'd not normally be privy to with commercial work. If someone is interested in the work and location, let's talk and see what it would take to make it work.

We've thought about hiring the position out of Hunt, TX if that is more enticing. Beautiful part of central Texas.

@Matias you said you liked baldcypresses and sprawling live oaks in another thread...
