Gloves mostly. I don't have a problem with the slic pin action itself, but in the cooler weather when I wear gloves it becomes cumbersome. Why does everyone hate slick pins? I feel like the only who's never had any problems with a slick pin.
I hadn't thought of that one, I like itI saw these on Arbsession's Instagram today. These look cool to me. I can see using one as a bridge connection. Like a ring you can take off.
Just looked. Looks like 2 different sizes. I already like the spring lock on the Isc rp248 block. Depending on price I think it will be a winner.I saw these on Arbsession's Instagram today. These look cool to me. I can see using one as a bridge connection. Like a ring you can take off.
Yeah makes sense. Never really had that problem, but I'm also spoiled with gloveless hands in warm weather most of the timeGloves mostly. I don't have a problem with the slic pin action itself, but in the cooler weather when I wear gloves it becomes cumbersome.
Lol, yeah I never used them for tree work but I have a few for slackline rigging. Not quite as redundant but they're sweet. I guess technically it's double action since you have to push the button followed by pulling the pin right? But still, those balls would surely let the pin slide out if it were loaded with enough force.Want
As someone who has tried the CMI California swivel, it won't be TOO heavy lolLooks like it is going to be heavy and bulky to put on a bridge. I assume it is stainless steel not aluminum. I don't need that kind of weight and bulk on my harness. Really, as cool as they seem, I can't think of a use for one. If it was there I might use it as a pulley to bring up a larger saw, but I don't want to haul it up there for that, then find a way to attach it to the tree.
Looks like something that is going to show up on Wespur's discontinued page.
Love my quickies and use them quite a bit, but the pins are a pain with gloves on. I should cut the tip off of one thumb so I can use the nail for them.
If you remove the sheave and reinstall the locking pin you've just recreated an expensive Quickie.I didn't see an option for it without the pulley part I'd be interested in the shackle part if it's a good size to work with a captains hook.
