Anyone use heated gear at work? I have rotator cuff pain that always gets worse in winter.

And… I’ve been to phys therapists, do regular strengthening with bands, srt, purposely minimize strain with work. There are many helpful threads on shoulder/wrist/hand pain, heat is one of the recommended tools. Do you have heated jacket/vest use?

Not me. Interested in this thread though as I am just buying a spider lift and it ocured to me that I could get cold standing in the basket through some work days.

I'm looking for some heated gear this year as well so ill be watching this thread. the other day was only 30 something degrees I was operating the k boom instead of climbing and I was ready to trade jobs and get up there moving around to stay warm instead of standing there freezing my ass off..
My shoulder pain was aided like Dan said not sleeping on that side,
and lots of yoga poses for strength and flexibility..if I didn't make changes I would've required surgery , I won't get that until my shoulders hanging by a thread... still hurts when the barometer drops

Sorry to hear about the shoulder. When the temps dip into the 40’s I pull out hand warmers and shove them on the top of my hands in my gloves.
They make the same thing that sticks on to your lower back. Maybe try something like that?
Shouldn’t be too hard to sew a pocket on the lining of a jacket or vest.

If it's legal where you're at the cbd rubs have helped me a lot the times I've had an injury or slept wrong and been in relatively large amounts of pain from it.
Not sure how the legality of cbd with a class b is since it would probably show up in trace amounts if you got tested.

My wife's pain level with her back is more accurate at predicting rain than the weather forecast. I call it the "backometer."

Ive heard good things about the Milwaukee heated jackets. I spoke with another tradesman about his
Milwaukee jacket, and he loves it. The outer fabric looked stout, and had stretch/range of motion to it. He said that 1 m12 battery will last him all day and then some with intermittent(as needed) use. It only has heat elements for the core of your body tho…. sounds like your shoulders may feel left out…. @Vicente i don’t think most Cbd topicals have thc in them, or enough that transdermally youd test hot.

Reading the body care thread reminded me to give an update. I got an Ororos vest mid-Dec and have used it regularly for work and home. What a difference and why did I wait! Less pain, muscles don’t tense up as much first thing in the morning loading equipment etc or after a break/lunch. Base layer, then vest, then outer layers, mid or low temp setting will last a workday. Easy on-off without stripping layers.
