New Tribe Onyx Saddle discussion in light of the newest saddle releases

I just recently purchased the onyx I went from the TM lite and it took a bit of adjusting but it's super comfortable I do use the MB suspenders with it I believe it's built way better then the og MB saddle maybe equivalent to the new MB 2.0 but i haven't seen one in person for the price tag of the og is way high IMO it's a saddle that has jansport backpack strap material and way overpriced don't get me wrong I love august but the og saddle wasn't built that great the onyx is no where comparable and from what I've seen they have updated the onyx throughout the years it's been in production I might be wrong but the earlier videos compared to what you get now seem different

They're going big on deer hunting tree harnesses right now, it's a huge market. They'll definitely stay in business.

Maybe not big enough, it seems they’re closing up that line of saddles. Most hunters like the first ones, but not later versions which were more complicated and didn’t solve any problems.

New Tribe is taking pre-orders for the Aero Hunter Revolution Harness now...

I'm more nervous about them dropping out of the arborist harness market since they partnered away so much business to the monkey company which is now a direct competitor.

Is New Tribe still making the monkey harness? I hope they are for their sake.

I dont think they are competitors eachothers but great friends eachothers.

New tribe nurtured MB to be an full fledged adult Eagle and MB is flying high up now. They must be so proud of how successful they have became.

New Tribe is making New tribe line ups just as usual. And those are phenomenal and impeccable.

And entering huge hunting saddle market was probably the best decisions they've made and they deserves it after all these years of experiences with creating great harnesses to the mass.

I love both NewTribe and MB .

Yeah I saw that. Maybe they are backing out from hunting saddle market . The problem must be in TN's PRs. TN can't do any explosive PR campaigns like other companies are doing .

Hunting equipment companies PRs are like carnivores vicious mear eater animals compared with NTs glass fed domesticated animal attitudes.

Those big names hunting saddle corps are already established thier brand names to be known to consumers . And you know those proud hunters are like also "brand" name geeks just as poor girls loves to jump on brand name goods on a market.

NT tends to relies on real users of the mouth PRs with thier great products.

It's the right way a d cheapest way for the marketing but that alone cant them to come up to the surface.

It's takes long time to really catch up or never.
Also that effects on internal company's attitudes with it too .
Its makes all of them depressing a d unhappier for sure.

So , There are overwhelming PRs by other competitors in hunting saddle market and its simply overshadowing them even tho NTs products are truly superior.

NT needs to be slide in somewhere in there .

Unfortunately that's what it looks like. I just hope they continue to have a successful business regardless of what they're making. We need businesses like that

I've just got be able to my hands on a New Tribes saddle for my next seasons.

Its a damn good saddle .
I mean, "Wow" levels.

Driven by Pure overall performances without any flashy ads or mumbo jumbos that everyone knows.

Indeed it is an great saddle to my mind and I have nothing to complain about this harness so far.
I'm fully satisfied with it and it's very rare for me to feel this way, tbh .

I know NT is very resilient one tough company just as thier saddles.

It's just doesn't have same levels of PR with other companies does . Obviously , they aren't that big company to begin with so its understandable . Those hunter equipments corps PRs ads are like carnivore meat eaters very aggressive attitudes campaigns backed with huge crazed investiments.
On the otherhands , NTs is like Vegetarian hippie kind of down on a earth approaches.

I do "personally" loves their hippy style approaches on how they are marketing now and they do have great leads because of real trusts they have cultivated with thier great products from over the years .

but now that's actually ends up hurting them I think.

What they really need is waay more actual climbers based real great reviews, videos and PRs on social medias .

That doesn't needs much of funds , investments away less than those massive commercial, ads campaigns like other competitors are doing .

I believe that's the only way and one way winning ticket to make everyone happy here.

Just one out dated looking website ( personally that's I I loves the most ) isn't enough to keep this company float and to be able to make it much better , to obtain enough funds to explore new territories.
They do needs drastic PRs, internal company attitudes changes . But what do I really know.. I'm just a tree hugger. LoL

Also , Covid had been devastating to everyone also in general.

But I'm sure NT would finds it's ways to survive.

It's a pretty seasonal item, I'm guessing they presold all their stock already and shipped a while ago (deer season is pretty much over), over producing and having a bunch of left over will just run down the value of next seasons gear.

Oh yeah I forgot all about that.
Perhaps, they are actually can't keep up on it productions so stop taking it's order ? Left us with all kinds of preassumptions ? Could be that too . LoL

They are still making the og MB. But the 2.0 is made completely in house by Mb. Talked to Evan at the Charlotte expo for a bit about and he said that to do the amount of modularity people wanted they had to essentially just build the 2.0 from scratch.

OG MB and MB2.0 are from a Website "Monkey Beaver" now.

Monkey Beaver has been independent for quite a while now.
New tribe no longer carries MB any longer.

The original monkey beaver harness is still being manufactured by new tribe, but is sold exclusively through monkeybeaver.com. The MB 2.0 is manufactured in house at monkeybeaver. Clear as mud?

Can we still buy OG MB from New Tribe ?
No, it is sold exclusively through monkeybeaver.com.

From NT's website:

Sold Out

"This listing says Monkey Beaver saddles are SOLD OUT, but that only means that New Tribe is no longer selling this exciting arborist saddle directly to you.
We're still building Monkey Beaver, but now you can get it online exclusively through the MonkeyBeaver.com website.
While you're there, check out the amazing videos by August Hunicke. He captures the skills and thrills of working in tree care like nobody else."

Yeah, that's right .

You've already mentioned that OG MB is sold exclusively only from MB website.

Yeah, I do truly enjoy watching
Mr. August Hunicke videos on YouTube.

I'm not even a Arborist but merely an Recreational Tree climber so I don't really needs to know how to cut a trees or anything but climb and down but that guy shows me and taught me a lots of technical skills to the details with various actual real situations at sites on trees.

He teaches the way I don't even need to struggle to learn them but I can absorb it so naturally .
It tells me he is a very good teacher who does knows his trade very well . A bad teachers in any fields , you really have to set & put your mind to it to learn . It's a big difference .

It's was just so quite interesting even just to watch what to do how they do it by him and his teams . I've learned a lot to be honest.

I've just got a New Tribe Onyx saddle . It's a very good saddle.

I'm quite really satisfying with it.

Maybe for next saddle , I might go with MB. But now , I really love my New Tribe Onyx saddle.

Yep. People have been predicting New Tribe’s demise for years, they’re not big, they’re a sustainable business model for what they’re trying to accomplish.
