One side supports labor unions, one is trying to crush them. One side supports a woman's right to make her own decisions about reproduction, abortion and her own body and one does not. One side supports the idea that a corporation can spend unlimited amounts of money on political campaigns, thereby creating a huge imbalance of political influence between the rich and the rest of us. I can keep on listing things that are super obvious if you like. How do you explain these differences in the light of your statement?

one side at least says it is important to not pollute the water, air, and soil. The other side says regulating polluters is an infringement of rights. We all should have a right to dump our own shit in our own water because water, air and soil should be owned and sold by individuals. One side believes that the idea that air and water is shared by everyone is communist and incompatible with our free market system.

maybe? ome side wants it the other doesnt. Like abortion? if i had student loans and that made a difference in my life it would influence my vote. I dont really care one way or another. I do know there are proffesionals who own houses that dont have extra funds for their trees because of their debts so it does make a difference to me tangentially i suppose.
Why is that a negative in your mind? The Idea that all debt has an inherent ethical imperative for repayment is a dogmatic belief, not a fact. There have been many debt forgiveness "programs" in history, and they tend to be a way to mend fractures in society
