Compact Bulldog Bone

Adjustable Compact Bulldog Bone will do 10mm very well. I used it as an adjuster etc. on my 10mm Reep Schnur DMM Captain Hook line, was perfect.

My adjustable bone wouldn't work well on the reep for my hook. Could be a model difference or weight

But gordon set me up with the mini wrench which works excellent on reep schnur with 28” armor prus hitch Good stuff!!

Maybe we already discussed this, can’t remember. The OG Rope Runner with the adjustable bird bollard closed down as far as it will go is great (for me) on the 10mm Reep Schnur. As some of you may remember I stopped using Reep Schnur as a Hook line when a very lightly used hank that I had pull tested broke at 2900 lbs, well under its stated ABS.

What did you switch to?

@Mag; Welcome to the TreeBuzz forum! Congratulations on making your first post on the forum!
There's a couple of younger German fellows that used to participate in this forum, and it was their participation here that caused them to meet up and have at least one climb together, if I recall correctly. I'm ignorant of the geography and distances involved, but it might be a fun research project to try to find those guys and see if they're within driving distance or not.
I hope to read more from you. Stay well. Tim.

I use the elongated bollard and transitioning from the adjustable one I went ahead and purchased 4 elonfated bollards from Gordon a month or so ago. I will never be without now. Running the BDB on Xstatic it is awsome. Over a year of run time and it just gets better with wear.

Been climbing on a bone for three years and I would never be without one. I went ahead and bought a backup BDB in case anything happens to the one i run everyday.

Any questions please ask.
you should alternate them so that you don't bave to break in the second

It's why I always keep two complete 200' SRT setups in my truck at all times (along with two 200' DRT setups as well...). I was just mentioning on another tread how many SRT devices I have, but... I don't have a BDB and kinda want one as well....

I think it has potential, given the correct rope size and climbers weight, My original though was to try and develop this fat BOLA for a fat rope (9/16") but I have not yet even tested it on that rope, as I have not received that size yet from Wesspur. I decided to try it on my velocity twin after viewing Paul Poynters TRT video.

9mm PMI EZ-Bend, with a custom mini-wrench I built for the 9mm line.

Next time around I’ll take a look at the 9mm Bluewater Canyonator. Hilarious though to read the reviews, “I would’ve given it a higher rating except it’s a little stiffer than I want for a 9mm”, “Too stiff slows down my rappels” etc.

The 22kn strength rating and the slightly greater stiffness makes it an excellent Hook throwing line and makes it more responsive for twisting the line to manipulate the Hook orientation when you’ve got it over something.

Count me in as interested in the Fat Bola when you get bigger rope to test.

I'm also curious if it would tend better than I can get the CBDB with adjustable bollard to, on the higher friction of Imori? (I haven't tried the elongated bollard)
