My only concern with the current version of the Bashlins is that they are no longer compatible with caddy pads, which IMHO are the most comfy pads available. Other than that the Bashlins are HIGHLY recommended.
You and your Caddy Pads... sheesh! Admittedly I never tried them, but the Big Bucks go a looong way to comfort.

I had some caddy pads, sold em on the buzz because I couldn’t get them dialed in..... caused me much discomfort. I wanted to like them, but couldn’t. I understand being on a budget and all, but I’m too broke to buy cheap gear. (invest up front:save money/time in long haul)

Ive been ballin on a budget for a few months lol. Those stimmy checks helped me get most of my gear lmao. Last thing i really need is spurs of my own

I've been on the buck alloys for a few years now. I wouldn't change anything about them. The offset stirrup and the gaff angle make them super comfortable. I run the hybrid tree gaffs which seem to do well on all our trees here.

Previously had climb rights, geckos, and old old buck steel.

yea I know..I have been climbing in mallory/opsal/caddy pads for a majority of my career because they just work for me...They are the only pad that I have worn that offers me true comfort even when standing in spurs for 8+ hours with bigger saws hanging off me. I have had pretty good luck with the Buckingham big bucks and super wraps , but I have found that they tend to become uncomfortable if I am in spurs for more than 5 hours...The bottom line is that nothing decouples my shin from the spur shank like the mallory/opsal/caddy pads. In my book this is one of the keys to true all day comfort.

You know I just had to bust on you
You know I share your love for the Bashlins. As far as spur/gaff designs go I still feel that Bashlin is the one to beat...Best gaff profile and angle in the biz. Offset stirrup. Extremely lightweight, and strong a f****ck...Whats not to like?
