Vines are the curse of the south. If its not wisteria its green briar. If not green briar its poison ivy. I hate them all. We are just about at wisteria bloom time and the pollen will make you feel like you have rolled in talcum.

Ha ha thanks, these 2 were Brittle beasts for sure, was a 42 tree removal project those were the biggest and baddest of them. Onto the next one now

This leaning, fading western redcedar had a crack going 98% of the way across it, and had rams-horning on the tension side. The crack was about 1.5" open on the one side. Neighbor's well house was dead under the lean, about 30'-40' away.


Solo job.

I moved out my chipper and mini.
Surprisingly, it took just over 2 tanks in the 2511t to strip and top it, landing each top on its own rigging rope, chipping between fills. Two main leaders, 2 small leaders.

Chunked it down with the rest 2511t tank in individual rounds, then on to the 261 that I carried up with the 3rd tank in the 2511t. I got to about 40' and wrapped up for the day, 8 and a little more hours on-site.
Second day was chunking (continuing to employ Gord's Magic Cut for ease and simplicity) from 40' to a 15' habitat snag with an MS461 and 28", chasing around a bit.

Then dumped an alder.
