Want to come deadwood my elm? While I still have money.phone is dead here.
This has been a great March so far and bids are 10 days out and work out 12 days so far and not one postponement over the virusThe phones have pretty much quit ringing here too. One quote request today, for removal of a tree that is slowly uprooting itself toward a house. We will jump on that one right away before it falls, but otherwise nothing. I made a round of follow-up calls from the quotes we sent out early last week, and everyone is saying the same thing. “We like your quote, but we are waiting until after this virus thing is over.”
It’s scary around here. The governor ordered all non-essential businesses to close as of tomorrow, but didn’t actually clarify who is non-essential. As far as I am concerned, we are essential, at least when it comes to working on hazard trees. We will likely postpone all pruning and non-essential removals for a while. Nothing like coming off a very slow winter into what’s generally our busiest season and having this happen! It sure won’t do anything good for our bank accounts.
Wow, I’m glad to hear you’re still so busy! Part of our problem is that the governor ordered all non-essential businesses to close, and that we are on the edge of a pretty major outbreak area, so our customers are even more panicked than most. I’m just hoping it doesn’t last too long, and that we can keep enough work to keep the bills paid. I personally can live on almost nothing for quite some time, but my employees mostly seem to live paycheck to paycheck. This has been a great March so far and bids are 10 days out and work out 12 days so far and not one postponement over the virus
People are saying they are doing home projects since they are home
Kind of crazy
Latex gloves
Not shaking hands
mans no concern on having someone come to their house for tree bid
And their ready to schedule
thankful I guess
Kind of scary out meeting with customers every evening
weird times
It’s very vague here in PA, nobody actually knows. I asked my brother, a police officer, and he says he has no clue. They’re not enforcing the closures, because they don’t know. How are states defining ‘essential services’
That can be pretty vague
I hate to admit it but I think a lockdown for 2 -3 weeks martial law
Arrested if you leave your residence
Face our problem head on and shut it down
I think it’s going to happen so do it know before the numbers get worse
I want to get past this chapter in life and not drag it out
Just my 2 cents
