ISC Response to RAPEX filing concerning the Rope Wrench

The RW is certified as a usual pulley, hanging from the slick pin with a rope running over the sheave which really isnt what its used like ;)
Thats the problem why its not if I understood it right.
And some weird stories between humans, companies and organisitaions in the background, that I do not understand...

I think it's hanging from the tether attachment, if you look at the direction arrows on a CE marked RW.
 
So, it needs a sticker that says, "Attention Idiots: Look at pictures in manual before using!" on it?

Exactly.
If you use the Rope Wrench as a lone fall arrester device you will probably fall. It might be slower than a free fall but nobody wants to say for sure and nobody wants to guinea pig that question. After your fall you may be arrested and if you resist, gasp or cough the officer might spray you down with a can of RAPEX.
