Bob Lubbers just posted that Jason/Fuzzy has died.

No details at all yet.

On Tuesday Jason sent me a note telling me that the doctor's told him he'd be ready to work again in ten weeks.

It may be that Jason had an unseen brain injury from the accident and he didn't know what he was doing when he shot himself.
We where not legally married so the family has taken over and I am completely lost without him.
If not for our 4 legged kids I'm sure I would be joining him. Its the worst pain in my soul.

I want to share what caused this...
Jason had an accident that was caused by an untrained , inexperienced ground guy.
The result. Jason had a broken back broken rib bruised lung and a cuncussion...the hospital NEVER did an MRI on his head and he actually had a brain injury.
He seemed fine...but brain injuries can start to cause strange actions days or weeks later.
WE told the hospital his pfanner hard hat was cracked bc he feel 20ft and hit his head on a river rock. They still did not feel it was necessary to do an MRI.
I NEED people to know...this could happen to the best and safest tree worker.
Jason was a champion climber. An ISA certified Arborist and we both where the safest climbers/workers...we never compromised our safety and look what happened.
NEVER NEVER take chances.
My soul is broken. He isn't coming back. Nothing could ever make this better. NO job no amount of money is worth your safety.

I normally would never encourage anyone to do this but, you should look into filing suit on the hospital.
