It's a famous shop in Nanaimo British Columbia Canada that "walkerize" saws for a reasonable price. They're wizards with saws, opening them up get more out of your saws. I've run various walkerized saws and its night and day, especially with husqvarnas, they just fly.

Here's a link to a forum with people explaining the general process. Basically muffler mods, port and polish, run better and cooler etc.

Thanks beating me and posting that ;)

Thanks for the info!

My 550 and T540 has been rock solid. I know that August H. takes his to a shop in Oregon, which is just north of me a few hours. I'll call both and message a couple instagram folks to figure out which will be the easiest route.

he seems to make good saws. I stick with Walkers because it’s easier to send saws back and fourth in Canada shipping wise and know their works solid. What’s your user name on IG if I don’t already follow you?

Got a Willow Oak in my back yard slightly smaller (15' and change circumference) that was planted around the same time. I love the tree but its only about 10ft from the house and is only getting bigger.

Are you doing anything with the trunk? Assuming its solid when/if I take it down, I will probably get an Alaskan mill for my 660 and slab mine out. I am pretty sure its mostly free of metal as its been in my families possession since it was about 8" across.
Willow Oak rots too quickly for making anything out of (in my opinion). White oak is a much more durable wood. I'm almost finished making a bathroom vanity out of Eastern Red Cedar. I will post a picture when I finish the cupboard door.

Thanks....I guess ;-)
All joking aside I appreciate the reply its a lot better to know that now than after all the time/effort and money to slab it out.

We took down 35 pine trees last week. They were in an area surrounded by bushes and other landscape. We decided the best course of action was to pull them out of that mess with a crane.

Crane is at 81' tall right here.

I have become the crane operator as my employee that was running it has left. I'm used to being the one hanging off the ball. Crane is at 104' here.

Had to close down one lane of this entrance to the neighborhood. It still amazes me how stupid the general public is. We had three jokers move our road cones and drive into our worksite. We also had two other people hit the opposite curb where they still had more than half the width of the entrance.
