Starting A Business

Blew up a starter under warranty, had to send it in for inspection, wait for a replacement part that was Chinese, it lasted one crank and let the smoke out. The shipping was over a hundred bucks alone. I ended up going to Lordco or Napa auto parts and bought a GM starter and were back in business! So that warranty part cost me over 500 bucks! Not too impressed.

Don’t snowmobile around here, but I’m planning going this winter for the first time. Got these though, it’s pretty fun
That big one you have there, guys put tracks on em up here for snow cat fun! They suck in deep powder though... get hi centered. We get 12 feet of it in the hills behind my house. It’s just about melted off now.

On your bandit? did the same on my new bandit stump grinder. Still it was a good machine. Traded it for this truck

I worked for a ministry for some time and lease the back lot of their facility. Kind of a unique deal but it’s scalable. I just went to Michigan last week to the bandit factory for a tour and to demo this grapple chipper. Wouldn’t buy it though.

And I pay to dump but was demoing to see about processing my own wood. It’s not big enough though. Will need a beast bandit for it. Big investment, I’m still running the numbers

Touché. I’m not being antagonist, but have you found a way for your business to support your family health insurance, vehicles, and multiple 6 figure incomes(my wife is on the payroll too). If so that’s very impressive.

An involved spouse can be a huge asset to a company!

Insurance paid, vehicles owned, no one else to share an income with. Different goals; I aim for quality, not quantity, in my work.

I'll adopt your model when I see a camel pass through the eye of a needle.

Are you saying you think it’s wrong to be wealthy?

Is that the impression I have given? I surely didn’t mean to. I just have a philosophy in life that if you’re going to listen to someone when they’re giving advice about something that they should be successful about the thing that they’re speaking on. I was simply trying to state my credentials as a successful business owner.
What is a positive way to use money? I don’t use drugs, I’m not involved in debaucherous living, I don’t drink or whoremonger. I give to the church, I donate, I’m heavily involved in ministry and so is my business.
Owning a business is about making money. If you’re not in it to make money then it’s just a hobby. If you’re in it to support others it’s a ministry. And if you’re doing it to make money and aren’t then you shouldn’t be doing it.

I never could prioritize money. 60 hours a week at a hobby does no good if you haven't gotten money elsewhere already.

I'm sure I'd like whores if I hadn't been told since I was ten that you'll catch something and die.

@CanaryBoss; Congratulations on all of your amazing success! It is just about the most spectacular entrepreneurial story I've ever read about on the forums, or anywhere else, for that matter, short of Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk. I hope you keep killing it, and continue to provide work for folks. Best wishes.

Tim

Thanks. That was nice. I genuinely do want to help other guys in this industry(although I don’t know everything). I’m meeting with another guy on this forum soon to see if we can map a route to even more success for him. I hope other guys reach out to me too.
