Every Tree Appreciating American should make the pilgrimage out west at least once in their lifetime to see both the Coastal's (300 footers) and the Giant Sequoia's (30 ft Dbh) in the Sierra's. Both are true wonders of the world!

Fun finesse pruning on this old witch hazel today.

3 hours to work on this dude that had been landscape pruned for 20 years or so. Sheared on one side along the drive for car and truck clearance and lion tailed to the point that several shear plane fractures occured due to all the branch end weight. Here's the worst one:

A little fine tooth Tsurugi work but mostly just Felcos on the tripod. Pretty fun change of pace, kinda of like when I get to spend lots of time on Japanese maples. I'll head back in February for pics when it blooms.

That is pretty much like all I have been doing for the last 2 months. Do 2 or three places each day. It makes for a nice easy day when it was -20 C and you can warm up while driving between clients.

Sweet lift! Why did you choose the CMC? If you have the work its the way to go.
