Tough situation to be in but, I'm sure you rep'd us well. Let us know when it airs!
I'm not even going to watch it. Probably going to find a nice little rock to hide under.

You can't fix stupid I don't care how good you are. Trust me I have tried. Also he insisted on wearing his gaffs while trying to throwball into the tree, even though I told him a hundred damn times to take them off because he's going to gaff his leg or something.
That sounds like a shitty day man. At least you tried. Also the production company decided to cut the first day of training, and had me train the host and effect removal all in a single day.
Are you going to tell us who it is?Also he insisted on wearing his gaffs while trying to throwball into the tree, even though I told him a hundred damn times to take them off because he's going to gaff his leg or something.
One of the best ones I've watched. Outstanding job daniel.!I just did the same thing.. shot the show in the beginning of April... just came out on Carbon TV... http://www.carbontv.com/shows/tough-jobs
Thanks all... I actually did most of the on camera talking and micro-managed his work from the ground and from the bucket with the radio headsets.. The director said he easily had enough footage for a full 22 minute show, but the network had contracted the 8 minute show and wanted to stick with that, which in the end I think is a good idea, as attention spans are so short these days. I think they did a great job of editing, with a few minor exceptions. And Ryan, the host did a great job. He admitted he was pretty scared (AND RIGHTLY SO), so he deserves high marks for facing the fear and getting it done. He had never run a chainsaw before or never climbed a tree with rope and saddle, though he was familiar with rock climbing techniques. And that light easy going attitude that we had was really there throughout the shoot. It all flowed...
