We (my family) are planning to drive up the Oregon coast and around Portland then down the i5 after shrimp season and check out half a dozen places or so.
We're also interested in Seattle area. Our daughter is only ten months but we are in the mindset that we would like to live somewhere close to a city (but not in) to access museums, plays, music, educational programs, international airport, etc.
Hood River might work but the wind may not be alright with my spouse. She claims it gives her headaches (happy wife happy life, right?)
I really wanted Santa Barbara but the price of housing is high and my lady is anti LA area.
She wants to stay in Humboldt until spring now but that will likely change several times over the course of a month.
Overall I'm just interested in living somewhere with a good quality of life that I can make 60k+ a yr. Fishing is great but the time away from home is not great for family
I wouldn't consider myself competition really. Ryan is decades beyond my experience.
