Compact Bulldog Bone

Rope runner is midline attachable. But to take it off in the tree can be somewhat difficult. Just because you have to take it apart a bit. There is an easy way to do it without much drop hazard. But the BDB just has zero drop hazard.

The BdCB is seriously idiot proof in that regard. On/off line in seconds and nothing to drop. I dont think there is anything quicker to deploy - I've not tied a uni though.

Overall, they stand side by side. I think the RR just a little bit smoother on ascent. The BDB comes off the line a lot smoother. It's just little trade offs. I go back and forth everyday. I have not been using anything but these two tools for a few months now. I even ran both at once in a DRT scenario on a removal the other day, I still couldn't pick a winner. They both kick lots of ass

Ride on man thx. Hopefully I can post a review of the bdb before long. I would guess this device still tends smooth as a rope hitch if not smoother. I climb RW with coopers usually 95% of the time.

I've taken it off and reattached many times due to redirects.

But the point of it staying on the line sort of nullifies any problems of it being a little larger, don't you think? Kind of like the treemotion saddle being way heavier than my sequoia. When it's hanging off the climbing line the weight doesn't really matter.

Swingdude, The device I sent you at geezers was a Bulldog OAR. The Bulldog Bone is about 2/3 that of the three arm OAR you had.

What line have you been running through her T.L.?
She works best with Tachyon for me but that's just the stock way it comes. Soon I'm going to try adjusting it for Vortex. Point is, adjustments can be made. Read through some of the earlier posts in this thread where I gave more detailed replies on the lines I tried. Heading out to climb some trees :)
