Zigzag SRT question

For those of you who have used the Zigzag SRT with the Rope Wrench or Chicane, does it slide a few inches on descents before stopping after you let go of the friction chain?

I'm using a Chicane/ZigZag on Teufelberger drenaline right now and there is no sliding/sitback at all when I let go.

A few years old actually, but I've got a couple different setups so it hasn't been used daily. No obvious signs of wear.

It was a new Zigzag on new Blue Moon with a new Rope Wrench on a Rope Logic Fix double eye tether. First time ever doing SRT, it totally threw me off.

All that “new” put together is certain to cause some issues at first. Throw that rope in the washing machine and then milk the full length a couple times, and it should be much better. Or just use it, and it will get better that way too, just might take a couple uses.

If it’s your first time using SRT you might just double check with someone that you’re setting it up properly on your rope. I love running my ZigZag with Chicane. It’s amazing and haven’t experienced any slipping.

After talking with some people I’ve decided to get a Chicane instead. Rope Wrench and tether are now for sale. (If anyone has a Chicane they are looking to offload, I’d be interested in trading)
