thats my homage to Riggs, I love the way he writes.

This is our new spiderlift, just got done with the italian trainer dood. Its sweet. I don't have any field ariel lift experience since today, and it was wierd. Gonna take a few jobs to get totally comfy with the rig. Watcha boys think!?

Lifts are indispenable at comps for setup, filming, breakdown, hanging banners, and to attract casual passers-by. Even the best climber can't go and set or move a flag or bell as fast as a bucket. Comps tend to operate on small budgets and volunteerism where time is a huge issue, at least this is my experience. Running a comp without access to a bucket or lift will always be option #2 IMO.

Cashmoney this is no joke! The guy we bought it from told me sat morning that his tree company runs two spiders a 65 and a 90. He said after a year most of his guys are chubby with pot bellies, no BS!

What ever you do with it, just keep it away from the power-lines... They are not insulated and not meant for line clearance. I know of a company in my area that was using one for line-clearance... I wouldn't do it unless things have changed and they are now insulated. Good luck. Is it used or new? I have heard that they are quite pricey.

Pretty sweet.

What brand? Not much side reach at a reasonable height from the looks of it. They sure beat climbing day in and day out though! I run a Tuepen 75' where I help part time. Sure makes ya lazy.

Nice rig Viking , Tomthetreeman , that wasn't nice , I'll let you slide , cause your Tom the tree man .

I only know two people who have them , they say they are slow , but very cool .
