anyone got a notch quickie you would be willing to sell a little cheaper than new price? im about to make a gear order and im tryin to save a few bucks

Hey man you gotta know people paying for There gear..are not going to part with it easy or cheap. I value my gear at cost. Lol

But also you can get a camp quick link it's oval will work just as good as a v3 quickie. The quick link is rated. And costs from $3 to maybe $10. Right on Amazon. I'd look into it in the mean time. I have about 3 or 4 of em.

ive got a locking shackle that I use instead of a quickie, just a pain in the ass in a tree

im just looking to save 5 bucks, a quickie isnt that expensive new lol

ill probably just order one new

Yeah you should...you never know what it could have been used before you buying it. That's the 1 thing I think about alot buying used gear

Oh And 1 thing that makes me like a camp quick link more is I can put it on and off without taking off my gloves. Can't tell ya how many times Ive dropped a glove or both messing around with a quickie.

ive got similar stuff, I want the quickie for another big reason, I can store it on my saddle much easier, currently I have the shackle screwed to a gear loop, much more likely to drop the pin while messing with it in a tree

Are you using it for a choking set up during SRT? I think I’d prefer a rated gate biner over the quickie, I bought a quickie because they’re all the rage, hardly ever use it…… (still not for sale either)

yup

ive got something similar, and I love it, but its a screw pin instead of a slic pin, and a pain to store on my saddle due to said pin, ive dropped the pin more times than I can count

and, ive tried using a biner choked off, it sketches me out, and I dont have enough lol

im going to put an amazon order in for a quickie, pinto, and two rock O biners, getting away from screwgates and single locking biners (rock climbing style, twist to open)

Maybe I'd like a quickie if I had one, but I'm content using 1/2" screw links (aka quick links, Maillon Rapids,...) l like them for uses with the potential for side loading, gate loading or torquing. I like the 1/2" size as I can swipe the gate with my hand a couple of times to quickly open or close it most of the way. I only close them hand tight and never had an issue with one backing off.

We have three Quickies for the two of us. Four counting the hhx "quickie". I once had a caribiner open part way on a basal tie. The gate contacted the tree and rolled just right. The Quickie has its own theoretical weaknesses, but I'm much more satisfied with it at my anchor than with triple action biners because of my experience. I know there are other basal anchor options. The Quickie is a great anchor device on trees with thicker bark.

Yeah I tried to tell him about the quick links...I have quite a few that I bought before I got a couple quickies. I always keep a quick link on my belt. I like that I can set them up without having to take my gloves off.

ive got a locking shackle, pretty much a mix of quickie and quick link, works good BUT, without a pair of pliers to jam it shut it sketches me out, especially since any running rope has potential to loosen it

not saying it will just come undone, BUT, I personally dont like it, and that pin falls out at the worst times taking if off my harness

im trying to get away from anything that screws shut, for me (ymmv) they either screw open, or you can never get them open after a climb, im about to order some rocko's for that same reason, ive got a screwgate on my climbing system, after a climb I have to put a twisting force on the gate, and drop about 6 inches into my system to get it to twist (stretch the biner)

ymmv, but I prefer something like the quickie

I was only suggesting an ANSI rated gate to the kid if that’s what he was using it for…
I quite using that setup a long time ago, and that was only as an SRT backup while on spurs, set up so if that ever gets load im in a situation where ruining a biner is the last thing I care about
