WTB logger’s belt, suspenders, tool or axe pouch

If nothing comes through used, the weaver ones are decent, and fairly affordable also iirc. I’ve wondered if a decommissioned climbing saddle dismantled down to just the back band, waistband, and suspenders could be turned into a functional set up.

I was wondering how the weaver brand belt kits were. On my initial searches, it was pretty much the only commercial setup that was coming up, which surprised me some

Mucho $$$

Holy shit that looks nice though. Boutique manufacturing, especially when it's made in a high COL country, will always be expensive, but the boutique products I have tried from highly reputable makers has always proven to be worth the money I paid.

@Neill what handle wood is that? Looks great

I hodge-podged my own system together from various parts. I really wanted to avoid anything Weaver and the other options were pretty expensive. Plus I like having something custom that no one else has.

I picked up the Tree Austria suspenders used from someone on Treebay...

Got the axe holder from West Coast Saws
The belt came from Amazon. Has the quick release buckle and is slightly stretchy so It fits over multi layers in the winter real nice. Any length adjustment possible.
Swapped out the screw links on the suspenders for some spring gate swivels.
Used belt key loops from amazon for the suspender attachments. They are just upside down. I added the brass button snaps to make their opening smaller so they can't slide over the buckles and off the belt when I'm not wearing it.
Used a piece of small double braid cord throught belt slot on the axe holder to attach the rear suspender clip.

Added a cell phone holder and enforcer carabiner. The webbing loops on the chest part of the ascender are great for hauling some things. I usually hang my fuel bottles from the bent gates there. Oil bottle usually goes on the enforcer. The shoulder area on the suspenders has some flat straps that have proven to be a great place to park a two-way radio via its belt clip. I tried doing a "tassle" spin withe fuel bottles. Wasn't as graceful as I was hoping.
