This is a goofy video of me and one of my guys racing up a decent size Bur Oak. To be far it was his first day using the Apta and he hit a shot that would have been really hard throwing, I had the really wide open easy shot... Round one

Great stuff. But must admit had me worried there would be a mistake due the anxiety of the race towards the end. Stay safe. I look forward to round two.

Looked like the haas won that one.

Nice, Jimmy. I think you're ahead of the game in that particular case.. I'm sure the Wraptor has its place, but that's not it.

Yeah the wraptor is a great tool and has it place in this industry for sure.Trust me I use it to when I want to save some energy, heck if my knee keeps hurting im gonna start using it everyday again..

wraptor's bout conserving energy...not speed. like to see you put some bells around that tree ..then time the up, hit 4 or 5 bells, then hit the ground :) unless Jimmy is a marathon guy, he loses, cept he is not $25 hun lighter (he wins in the thrift dept). I look forward to the rematch, but toss the blow gun and get the big shot out imo. Music is great for it.

Yeah I was talking about this with my groundie yesterday. A good rope walker or foot locker might beat the wraptor up the tree. But the guy on the wraptor is going to be a spring chicken when he's at the top. For me at least after an 80' ascent, even on a rope walking system, I'm taking a little break when I get to the TIP. Agree with treevet, it's about conservation of energy.

Lots of long ascents in my neck of the woods... and, as long as you're doing it regularly, you hardly notice. Granted I dont have Dave (treevets) capital, or Jimmys bad knee, but certainly at 42 its no big deal.

Great news for our crew, we recently added a Wraptor to the arsenal... :D

Wrecked out a 160ft White Fir. The tree was 5' at the base, covered in ivy, and we were lucky enough to set a TIP at 90ft. Great investment for saving energy and a long-term increased production.

Yep Ive had one for 2 or 3 years , hey racing BMX you get injuries that make it hard to climb. lol... But I still prefer doing it the hard way for some reason, but I still log a lot of miles on the wraptor..
