Would you trust this?? LOL

Think about it ...

Tool details ... 7:1 lifting ratio power ... 2 ton working load capacity

4000 lbs / 7 = 571 lbs

I can't pull 571 lbs!

Bought something similar, years ago ... junk. But hey, sometimes things do get better

wouldn't that mean you would never exceed the WLL, Reducing the risk of it breaking? But I agree, it looks like it is just waiting for you to use it so it can break!

If you ever seen one of those things in person, you'll notice they are quite flimsy. Not at all something useful for tree work. Hoisting a deer? Maybe (a small one).

haha i think a cmi double sheave micro pully advantage kit would do the same thing in a smaller size. when do you ever need a 6-1 advantage??

I have the 2 cmi's, I'll stick with that thanks.

Call me crazy, but that's not really a 7:1 MA at all, right? More like 2:1.

Count the parts of rope at the traveling block. In the image, it is set up as a 7 to 1 MA.

Looks like it's very cheaply made. I, personally, wouldn't invest in it. Accident waiting to happen in tree care.

If the sheaves are independent then it's a 7:1. It could be useful for tightlining but 5:1 fiddle block is a lot neater and easier to keep sorted out... never mind how much beefier it is.

I can see wanting 7:1 for getting trees off structures or pulling out a hangup. I've put a 3:1 on the downhaul of a 5:1 before... great aerobic exercise, definitely pushed the WLL.

I think the WLL on that thing is based on the system capacity, with a fiddle block each component is rated for the WLL.

i dont like having ANY unrated equipment around in case u have a new groundie , and you are out back and he sets a line and tries pulling himself up a tree out front thinkin hes a climber and winds up hurt

just one scenario i can think of
