Mini's make you money, not cost you money. Of course you have to be able to afford it. I pay $500/ month on my mini loan. Used to be about $460 per month for the payment, now its about $375 per month for the payment. $4000 down. Ramps were $1000 for 44" load height.
I love having my Boxer, because its a mini. I wouldn't necessarily recommend them. I'd love a DitchWitch for being skookum, but need one that fits through 36" gates. I'd love that even more.
I've had a handful of significant problems with my Boxer. I bought without close dealer support because I can turn a wrench, and I bought new. I learned a lesson. New doesn't mean problem-free for a few years.
There is now a Boxer dealer in Centralia or Chehalis (30 miles south), maybe moving to Tumwater. Bailey's is expanding.
Don't know how much land you're working with up there.

I've lost so much cumulative money on productivity from employees not making it in/ in on time/ needing to leave early over three years that I've had the machine that could have been applied to the payment.
15 minutes of production here for the crew while waiting on someone go get their boots from home, or there from someone running late, having that extra time to talk to the neighbor there, ...
Many days I'd not have gone to work without the mini, or worked very inefficiently, but the mini is ready 24/7. I've gone out and kicked butt and taken names.
If I had time, I'd contact landscapers for material handling sub-contracting, etc.

Sounds like the project I just got off of. Trees were full of concrete. It felt like every cut we found another piece. I should have bought stock 9n Oregon chain before I started!
