Some clips from two kinda nasty jobs we've had recently. The first was a White Pine over a small LZ, which was pretty straight forward, it was just nasty cause it was juuuiicy, everything was sap covered after.
The second was from a storm damaged limb on a White Oak. We removed a 15" lead that had a split by the union, which was pretty long and, of course, hung up in a Pitch Pine. The rope angles sucked, climbing and rigging, so, in my mind, the only way i could deal with it was just to rope em, cut em, and yank em out until i could throw them into the rigging hanging over more open space. it was as lame as it sounds and i didnt take much footage of it, but i did record the more enjoyable parts.

I'm not expecting many fans of the music, but I know those who know the song will appreciate it.

Love it! See you got that BDB working on the Luna for you, huh? It was a no-go on my Luna but maybe yours was custom fit for it. Come to think of it, I didn't try any other bollards with the Luna.

Bet that english ivy was fun to clean off that pine. :rayos:

TL you see the one hand chain on/off the saddle action? put that in there just for you. easiest thing if you have a large caritool n an old williams / HMS style biner
I wondered if that was just for me, and then I was like, "Yeah right, like someone is going to put something in a vid just for you. Stop being so self centered dude!" :)
Yep, I saw it. Many thanks to you sir.

oh yeah, Will, I put the 3/4" bollard on it and it works pretty good. If im doing a lot of work on it, the rope will begin to flatten in the most worked sections and there will be a little drift or creep, whatever you wanna call it. its manageable but my next rope will be safari, KMIII or maybe Cougar Blue, sounds like those all stay round a little better. Works fine on my Arrowfrog but i should probably honestly retire that rope.

It's funny how much I enjoy watching others do my work ..you know what I'm saying..? I'm gonna really try to spend the time to get a real computer with an editing program and do something someday.Stihlmadd said I could dump drive footage and he would smashdown produce a little something for me. I often think about how a camera here or there would make for a good shot capturing a moment .I'm into that but that's far as I usually go.. I work for myself and enjoy the work so much I could take the time to film easily. I really lately.. well past couple years have slowed down and enjoy it more. I used to rush to make more money.. now I've just come to relax and be one with the moment. I'm getting paid ,I'm never gonna be rich , so screws it just enjoy the climb. It's hard for me to keep up with charging battery and shit like that .. Im going to make a conscious effort soon to try to make a cool vid ..if nothing else to sell possible clients on my art compared to anothers.Anyways enough of my shmack talk . Keep the vids coming Andre!

I too am guilty of not taking the camera with me. All that money invested and it sits in a pelican case in my truck. Just have trouble thinking of something to film that everybody wouldn't say ehhhh, so what. I wish we still did the interview videos. I enjoyed getting to know folks. Their faces and their inner thoughts. Hey maybe I'll start a thread!!

Won't get to watch the video until I'm on the beach, but I look forward to it.

Jesse Huffman always has Sublime in his vids. Makes me like him that much more.

Do It!
Same deal with the camera here. I feel like such a squid, buying cool stuff and not using it. Total poser move

Do it up aaron! Keeps it fun. ive learned a lot from watching what i did, like rig pieces smaller, the ground guy looked like he was having a b!tch of a time with the size pieces rigged, or look how the rope was rubbing on the stem because of rigging set ups, or wow i took waaaay to long getting from point A to point B, or how ugly i can look in a kask helmet. Valuable lessons.
Steve I think we all do video worthy stuff at times. And I know I'm not the only one interested in just watching the way people work. Not to mention your a respected guy around here, we'd all love to see what your work experience is like, regardless of how boring you might have thought it was.
I learn a lot from watching peoples clips, and just plain enjoy watching, so the more people sharing, the better i think

but my next rope will be safari, KMIII or maybe Cougar Blue
enjoying my cougar "puke" very much. i don't really get that name though. some people see more yellow and gray in that rope, which looks pukey i guess, but i see more red and yellow and think it's a pretty cool looking rope. it looks a lot like a king snake or coral snake to me. and worthaug says it runs the best with the bone out of the cougar colors. Got to watch the video with undivided attention tonight. The first night it was like Chuck E Cheese in this house with my kids screaming, fights breaking out, and pizza cheese all over the place :)

That was some sweet one-handed, saw-stowing action there man...and taking it out one-handed too. That's a pretty slick move right there. Hope you don't mind if I steal that? I'll tell everybody it's a "CutHighnLetFly Trademark Move". Once again, loved the vid!

do it up will. easiest stow-unstow deal for me since all it is is a biner on a caritool.

had to change the music, youtube shut me down. sorry flex, dont be disappointed when you see it
