Fly and HyperClimb are 2 of my top 3 favorite ropes, and according to my girlfriend, I got a stupid amount of different ropes. Quick question, are you babying them and keeping them clean and shiny like new? They’ll do better if you beat them up a little. Drag them through the dust and put them through a cycle on a front loading washing machine. Don’t intentionally glaze them, but work them reasonably with a hitch. Brand new ropes from Samson, Yale, and Teufelberger/ Old New England see some waxy lubricant stuff to keep the strands moving through the machine. Probably all rope manufacturers, but those are the 3 I’m familiar with.
I’m not trying to give you a hard time, and I’d be happy to take the Fly.
Ok another question;
When you couldn’t get your HH2 to make you happy, was it with new cord on a new rope?
Fuzzy broken in rope is your friend. Shiny waxy new rope will scare you.
