Why hire my Tree Service?

I had a thought for a possible marketing idea, and wanted to hear if anyone has tried this before, and what do you think about it. I was thinking about putting together a trifold brochure with some more in-depth information on why a potential client would wants to use my company over other companies who may be bidding on the job. This could possibly include things such as, safety practices we follow, basic descriptions on how we properly trim and prune, the equipment have to do the job safely and efficiently, the types of insurance we carry, etc. It would probably be an abridged version of what is on my website. ( which also needs updated). Do you think something like that would be worth the time and effort?

Has one like your talking about....kinda. It's used for people the lead them to hire certified arborist.

Although some companies use it who more than suck.....

We use them as a secondary point of sale, usually present them after initial customer introduction. Right at the point they say "We got a prices from a landscaper that was much lower" or usually when the customer realizes the tree work is going to cost more than their 2005 Chevy Malibu is worth. The best overall results are when we leave them a brochure, to contemplate on, after we have given the entire shpeel and they are on the fence. At night it seems to call to them, sing maybe.."do it..ya do it!!"
In all reality, if you just sling out a business card and say Ok it's going to be 5k to cut down your tree, why not back that up with a high quality brochure describing your services, business, integrity, YOU!
You usually have about 15 seconds to make a lasting impression. Make it count!!

When I finish my sales with a customer I hand out our brochure about our company. It describes how we follow all Anzi specs ,we have certified Arborist on staff fully insured top of the line equipment. If they have questions about pruning, phc pest etc I have the handouts off tree's are good .com all of my customers (85%) like that I take the time to educate them and usually sign off on the job

If you have other client reviews already posted on your website, on Yelp!, on HomeAdvisor, etc... you might want to consider a quick reference code (QRC) printed that links directly to those reviews on a brochure or a biz card. Pick whichever review service is the one that has really positive write-ups, especially when someone takes the time to describe how well you did the job, gave a fair price, etc... As more people have smartphones, they can scan those codes and see how well you did the work for others.

A brochure can always come in handy when a neighbor approaches you while you're working on someone else's property, not just when doing sales calls.
