it‘s tiny, a harken 40 or similar is already small and they use a 20. in my eyes this is 5:1/portawrap territory. often times the 46 of the grcs is underpowered and a doublewhip is necessary …

I didn't realize it was that much smaller, but I think it would do half of what I would want it for, and at half the price of a GRCS, that sounds about right.

also regular harken winches have internal plastic parts (i learned that the unpleasent way) greg good orders his all aluminium/metal excluding the bearing.

Are you saying that even the off the shelf 46 has plastic, and only the units on the Goods are so bomber?

Just checked it out on Instagram.
It uses a prussik, so I’ve already got similar with the RC3000 attachément.
Which isn’t very good as it happens.
So I’m out.

I'm a big fan of Arbsession but I swear they sell the weirdest and most 'one-off' tools in the industry, just to see what happens. (to be clear I think that is a good thing).

Ended up following the link here to their page of lowering devices and wound up seeing the 'Courant Hulk,' which maybe I missed when it came out, but have never seen or heard of before... also seems like a neat idea? Essentially the Jail Break in a different form factor.
