Where do you have your footlock sling?

The competitions are coming up and I am tired of having my footlock sling "right in front of me". It gets in the may when I speed things up.

I know the judges don't like you to wrap it around your arm - so any ideas???

I alreday use a small clip, to keep the slack out of the system. :-)
I was thinking of how to get the sling behind your arm, so it isn't right in front of you...!?

Attach a nice small biner/clip on the sling with a thin cord wrapped around it and clip it onto the upper side (color?) off your t-shirt. In this way it stays out off the way during the footlock and it will work better than pull it trough the shirt.

Personally I never tried to wrap it around my arm, and I think it's a dangerous way off keeping the sling out off your face.

If you accidentily slip your arm gets tangled in the line...

good luck on the footlock event.

Thanks for that, Treestyler.
Do you do competitions as well?
I qualified for the europeans in Malmö 2009, but f*cked up and didn't made a good time.

Hopefully I'll do better in 3 weeks to the Danish masters.

WHAT? i keep my foot lock sling on the rope.... in your shirt? velcro? rubber on the neck? around the arm? i once saw someone at a tci trade show run it with his feet,,, but i had no idea why,, i need to shave some seconds off my time ,, but the guys i work with cant help me there. i am the fastest footlocker i know but i use the dual cenders,, the judges dont mind if you tie it to your neck,, then they surly wont mind if i use my assenders////ahhh watch out NEC ISA ill be robbing you all blind again this year,,

listen guys i cant wait till the day of the event,, i need the tricks now, i have untill june,,, i also heard you can put a biner in your boot,, havent tried it yet,, but really , what does your neck have too do with it?

THIS is what I am talking about!
I just copied Johan's technique - and it works! (Found it among the pics from ITCC 2009 on the web).

The sling is out of the way, and it is still safe / legal at the comp.
Cool!
