A rope wrench. What is the name of the tool above the lockjack?

All our problems are solved! Finally the BEST devise is found.
I know it's a rope wrench type device, it just looks shorter than the singing tree rope wrench. I looked at a couple of the major tree gear sites and didn't see anything that looks quite like what is in the video. Maybe it's just the angle or maybe the t.v. makes the rope wrench look shorter... Maybe there is something in my water that I don't know about.
I have a spider Jack and considered buying a rope wrench to try with it even though some have said the combo is unreliable.
It’s been done long before the ZZ was a twinkle in the OAR’s eyeSame concept as the Wrench....Doug Touchtrop first named it Lucille when combined with a tether and ZZ.
Evo any idea where this pulley idea originated from? It’s been done long before the ZZ was a twinkle in the OAR’s eye
RBJ you are correct this setup is dangerous, and no I haven’t climbed a tree with it yet- just ascent and descent on rope. I will have to be super cautious because there is no spring in the system to set friction before pre weighting the line.Have you used it in a tree yet? My understanding is that if the wrench can fall slack into neutral position and if not set or pushed up, when a decent begins it might stay un-set causing a free fall. I haven't used a rope wrench. I'm only about a month into srt use, mostly on a bulldog bone.
That looks horrible to useLets break some rules
