Could someone help me identify what type of tree / plant this is? I don't know much about trees and plants and I just want to figure out a way to trim this. If you have any information I'd appreciate it. Thank you

Yes they do, but if you burn them then pull out the roots, you are not going to get cut. Outside city limits of course.
