600 is all the money for that saw! I would want it to be tip top shape for that $$$$$$

We love our 066, but $600 is pretty steep!! That is what it cost when it was new. I would try to get him down to about $300 or so. But, if you need that saw badly, as long as it is still in good running order.....it still is cheaper than an 660.

I paid 500 for one o couple of years ago and have been very happy with it. I would have definitly paid 600 for it knowing what I know now about it. deepends on the saw though

A 066 is worth $500 - $600 easily, IMO depending on condition.

Anything under that is just a sweet deal if saw is in good running condition needing nothing.

I always figure 50% of a saw cost at new right now. Then go from there up or down on condition.

I know I would laugh at ya if someone offered me less then $600 for my woods ported 066 that looks like it has been through the ringer, but runs better then a new one ever thought of running.

This is JMO.

I would have to agree that $600 is a little steep. Like another post, I used to sell my old logging saws after one season for about $450-$500. However, don't forget that those saws were used steadily for at least 8 hours a day through the hottest part of the season. Find out as much history behind the saw and its use before deciding it's too much to pay. Maybe the guy bought it new and discovered it was too much power, too heavy, etc., and it has been sitting around with very few hours on it. I once bought a used 044 for $400 that had the original chain, bar, and sprocket on it! Do your homework and maybe you'll find a diamond in the rough!

Highclimber, good advice nieghbor. Used saws are thier own beast. I don't think I've ever bought used unless it had some sentimental value, like one I need for my collection. Some I will stumble across that 090 I am missin'. Thanx again Highclimber, Welcome Aboard

Ya that old 4 hundred give or take a little. If you start getting into the 600 dollar range then in my opinion you should get one just a year or two old! I don't no what you got or what you need to cut? But I personally, once ran a 36in bar on a 460. I have ran a 24in on a 361, and I bet it could run a 32 in. I have also ran a 24 in on a 390, which didn't do to bad! So just depending one might hold you over until you can find that deal, or save for a new one.
