What are the best Scissors ?

I'll be interested to know after you cut a mess of high mod stuff. Please do post again after some time with them.

KAI for all class 1 ropes and fiber optic cable scissors for class 2. The fiber optic ones are cheap and last for a couple of years doing production splicing.

The ceramic scissors arrived and they just weren't strong enough to go through a piece of Armor Prus. They've been put out to retirement in the kitchen drawer and I've got a pair of ARS 526A scissors. My word, they're brilliant!

I bought every single pair of scissors known to man over the last six months. Each one was a disappointment, almost directly correlated with the price. I had several pairs of kai and they wouldn't stay sharp long. The big ones, the little ones that look like bahrs, even the $300 ARS just dulled in just a month.

Then came Clauss. There are two which are very good for Hi-Mod fiber, the ones linked above are great for high mod prusik cord, (tapers on op cover, HRC, Bee Line) and Clauss 18074, which are 8-9" blades and should be listed on treestuff, this week. These scissors are great for cutting all diameters of rope, hi-mod and polyester.
