Does anybody have a chart for common Western US trees? (Fir, hemlock, cedar, alder etc.) Those charts are great and all but they only contain one or two trees that are somewhat common out here.

Guestimating is fine for me, those 2 species cover the weight of nearly all the trees around here. The species doesn't matter, its the weight per cubic foot.
Give me a weight per cu ft and the chart can easily be modified. 53lbs and 62.5 covers a wide variety or trees for me.

Good point I hadn't thought of it that way.

Thats the reason I chose those 2 species/weight. The oak is the middle ground between red and white oak (62lbs and 63lbs forget which is heavier).
