Want to buy comms!...

I've tried half a dozen different systems. I think sonetics has hands down the best system if you only running one crew and theres 5 or less guys on it. The biggest different is the noise cancelation on the sonetics sets is awesome. But it's very pricy and doesn't work well if you've got multiple crews. My crew uses the Sena systems installed on peltor helmets currently and they work fairly well for what they are. Sonetics are $900 a headset + you have to buy a base station, Sean's are around $300 I think and don't need a base station or anything else.

For jobsite coms we use Sena Mesh in helmets and headsets, maybe 12 sets in total.

For longer range we use GMRS radios. They require a license but it’s just paperwork and money, no test, minimal hassle. Hand held and we’ll be adding them to the trucks and some equipment, mainly for coordinating traffic management or control. Being able quickly and easily tell the truck behind you of some condition or to block traffic to back in is very handy.

I have two crews using the Sena Mesh put together by Arbsession on Kask Superplasmas. After a year we have not broken a system yet - just stripped two mic wires that we were able to put back together. I ordered extra mics to stay with the crews. The Mesh is so much easier to link up with - no more ordered pairing and then having it all fall into chaos when someone goes out of range or a branch hits the control unit.

I think the Pfanner units still look great too, but they be expensive and I've only heard one field report (which was positive at the time)...

+1 for mesh over BT pairing

Cardo has a mesh option as well, which is what we are on. One guy got fired-wouldn't quit pushing stuff into the chipper with his foot- and we have had zero problems with 5 guys on comms.

I've used senas and cardos and I'm willing to use anything that works but the reason for this thread is to find somebody who wants to sell whatever they have.
Im trying to find comms for cheap prices bc this is for my employer and he's being cheap. Nobody knows the value of comms there yet so I'm just trying to find somebody selling a few or more to get these guys on comms
