Variation in control with an Akimbo when using SRT vs DRT...

Hello All,

I imagine this isn't a surprise, as the weight is halved when working DRT. I am exploring the pleasure of an Akimbo. I have it perfectly tuned for my SRT. When I switch over to DRT, the system is a bit tight, and the rope doesn't flow as smoothly. I am imagining because the weight is halved. True/False?

Thus far, I have the Akimbo not to be as strong a performer in limb walking due to the lack of smooth flow (compared to a ZigZag...which is perfect in my opinion).

Thoughts, opinions, ideas, recommendations, advice?

Thank you.

I saw a video today on YouTube by a fellow who has a site called Free Fallin. He had a 3:1 solution with wraps of the rope. Check it out. Thoughts?
Oh that clown?! Ha, he’s a member and while not a working arborist one hell of a guy.. I personally use a petzl basic and a pulley carabiner, but I find many other uses so it just lives on my saddle.. hell it’s the only piece of kit that lives on my saddle as I’m pretty much a minimalist

If you have a camera, a pic would be great. Funny about the minimalist. Isn't that the way it goes...we gear up with all the toys...then start stripping down to the essentials. Could save ourselves a lot of money...and weight!
