Different types of abuse over time lead to different feeling ropes, as well as newer ones behaving very differently... I believe this has been my experience, but my taste changes faster than my climbing lines, so it could also be in my head.Yes they are. The calamine just feels a little different. Might just be in my head.
They are not the same they are a different make up. And imori is a smidge fatter.Aren't they the same line just different colours? To me they seem like exact construction.
Bounce isn't too bad I suppose. I only weight 147lbs. I'm hesitant on static lines and don't much like the feel in hand. I really dig the look of the Imouri (what's worth doing if you don't look good!)
Thanks for the opinions.
Imori was my first line. It was a bit bouncy, but you get used to it and use it for advantage, like dropping into your saddle a little befor pulling yourself upright when using SRT. I would not compare it to tachyon- my least favorite rope on the market yet. Imori has a great feel in the hand: soft, larger, light, and a little "scratchy", which contributed even more to its ability to be gripped. In some ways I miss using it, especially after describing it right now. It's like my first car, but maybe even more personal. Still have it stored away. Can't stand to throw it away.
Anyway, snappiness aside, it's a great line. (That works two ways.)
AKIMBO ........What do the voices say?
