Unknown rope?

Sorry in advance if this is in the wrong subsection,

Recently ordered a "bag o' rope" a la Treestuff (awesome deal, BTW). Recognized all but this rope:

I searched their site high and low, with no luck identifying it. It has a red braided core, and Im almost positive its ½".

Anyone familiar with it?
Thanks a lot guys.

I got the same rope too. I believe it is Fly only in green. Mine had most of the core missing but I got about 35 feet of 16 strand 1/2", 50 feet of 1/2" dynasorb and 75 feet of 1/2" 3strand that I'm making a rope swing for my grandkids out of, so yeah, it was a good deal. I think it was a lot of left over stuff from the splicing seminar they did with Nick.

Interesting. My core was intact the whole length. I wound up with around 100' of blaze, 25' 3/8 TENEX, 65' Samson gold streak, 2x30' polydene from Yale, ½" and 9/16. And then the mystery rope. Green fly sounds as reasonable as anything else. Thanks!

This thread has piqued my curiosity...
what's the core look like? I know you said it's red, but is it parallel or braided?

I think fly core IS parallel now that you mention it. And upon closer inspection of the white "tracers"(or whatever they're called), they do not match up with fly. It's a mystery rope for sure.

Was messing with this today and it has tec type outer braid of 24 twin strands. Anyone figure out what kind of rope it is?

I searched on treestuff's website for a long time and could not find it. I thought it was a bit strange that it was not listed on their website. I'm glad someone else has posted about it.. Hopefully someone out there knows.

Guys, I asked Jamie Goddard at Yale about it and he said it's made for linesmen for lanyards and it's a standard double braid like thier 11.7s.

I got 40' of this via the bag o' rope as well. Has anyone contacted TreeStuff to find out the specifics? It'd be nice to know exactly what it is before putting it to any use.
