i'd say 75% of my work is pinesIf you’re working in pines a lot, you’ll like not having to tie a pitch covered dead eye sling several times a day.
i think im gonna pick one up thinking of ordering some with rings as well haven't tried the rings yet how are they?No more knots or whoopies that are snugged up on themselves full of pitch/sap. Fighting you as u work your way down the tree.
splicing is something i'd like to get into is it very hard i watched a few videos butYes, if you have some time, making them is the way to go.
ima look into it. gotta figure out what all i needIt’s a simple one, but I’m not seasoned enough to start giving instruction. Some folks on here could give clear, thorough instructions that will help you succeed and avoid pitfalls.
it looks like thats where splicing really comes in can build them however you wantI do a fair number of large White Pines. Ultraslings way worth it especially when they start getting covered in sap. I just wish I could find a longer one...
i watched that the other day that's why i got them back on my mind really. i think i may just try to learn splicing in this down time

I've been meaning to make one of these. At the 2:05 mark he says that this splice won't work for the single carrier tenex. Any good reason why not? I have a bunch of single end carrier lying around.
