Did I see some of that new SRT skill you just got from the Rockett brothers? Nice vid mate.
Yah was well worth the time spent soaking up some local knowledge and having a blast at coot lake park.
thanking you Frank and for all of your time last year in answering me.
your bloods worth bottling Mate (y)

Great video friend! They keep getting better and better. Guys like you are why I don't make video's! Thanks for the honorable mention! Feel like a superstar rolling in your credits! Take good care and I hope someday we'll meet! The Cobber

After seeing your breath taking photos and this really good video with crazy landscapes , make me believe your an artist as much as a tree rigging superstar! Thank you for taking the time to produce those videos.

Best wishes for 2016 from snowy Montreal.
Ha much appreciated - I am using the image of snowy canada to ease my mind during these sweltering summer days , would love to get back there and give my trusty snow board a damm good thrashing again.
very kind of you to take the time to compliment me
cheers Ben

Sweet vid ben! Superb editing skills, you could prob even make me look good

Nice vid Ben, love your work and contributions. (y)

Even though I don't have the knowledge and skills of wielding a saw or rigging, I appreciate the view into the professional arb world your vids provide.

cheers mate

you could prob even make me look good
well I am willing to have a crack at it , maybe some camera angle changes and a few soft lighting shots for the mood?
I firmly believe given the recent sample we all got to see just what you can pull off with a smile and a helping hand (big crane).
but if you wanna send me some raw footage for a re edit then please feel free and pick the music will ya that and the title are the two hardest parts :)

Thank you very much my trans tasman friend - on a side note the recent ring barking of the Kauri pine was disgraceful IMO.
really if I am not putting out instructional / educational stuff and I feel that there are others who do a far better job of that than I will ,then my side is for sharing the views and entertainment values.
helps document the journey.
cheers Ben

The tunes were good too, what was the second song? From a movie? Very familiar....

Well wishes to you, you wild bogan!!! Happy new year!!!!!!
Hey Levi you are on the right track it was the Eagles original version Journey of the sorcerer which as later covered for the BBC series Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy , a cool find on a studio album .
showing off my geek side there :sorprendido3:
Glad to hear Bix is still with us he must heard the calling and sent me a message yesterday which was well appreciated.
a very Happy new year to you good sir :birras:

Yeah, I'm solidly with you on this one.

I followed this closely and talked a lot with my family and kids about the situation, trying to have them understand a number of points of view and different perspectives. I really want my children to appreciate and respect nature by connecting with it physically and emotionally. Though we're very outdoorie, this event really stuck an emotional cord.

Almost went over to say hello and show my support the morning the ring bark occurred. I was gutted and gutted for the #savethekauri team, especially Jono (who I don't know, but know of). You prob heard, but the mongrels had permission from the property owners to do the ring barking. Really sickening and an opportunity lost.

I hope the Kauri and Rimu survive. You probably know too Kauri are threatened with Kauri dieback disease which has been pretty devistating.

Titarangi, where this occurred, is in a large park area know as Waitakere... commonly know as the Waitaks. It's full of Kauri and one of my favourite places. It has an extensive trail network I know well. My profile pic is a stand of young Kauri I took at the northern end of the park. Almost all ancient Kauri were felled for milling and very few old growth stands exist so lots of effort is going into protection.

Cheers and sorry for so a bit of derail on the side note. I saw your pic of support posted a few weeks ago and knew you knew

ps - for anyone who didn't pick up on this one in the news / social media communities. Check out #saveourkauri on fb and instagram. A news article with some backstory and video from Stuff a major NZ news site http://www.stuff.co.nz/auckland/750...nds-up-for-the-threatened-west-Auckland-kauri

I was aiming to find out more about what had occurred that morning, my first thoughts were the owner or developer was involved as they so often are. my second thought was find the business who recently sold 6 electric chainsaws and track down the culprits who did the actual vandalism.
having now read your post I would encourage you to start a seperate thread on this subject so all of the treebuzz crew can hear about what is going on and we can have a full discussion on the subject.
I for one would like to learn more about NZ's tree protection laws and what they constitute and how this kind of activity is allowed to be conducted.
Cheers and sorry for so a bit of derail on the side note. I saw your pic of support posted a few weeks ago and knew you knew
you can thank Jesse coleman for the heads up in regards to the plight of this Kauri and Jono 's efforts to save the tree.
