Tulip Trees with X-Rigging Rings and The X-Wheel.

These were some backyard tulip trees. One had cables in it.

Trees dismantled by rope rigging.

This was spring, 2012.

Now that the X-Rigging Rings are released and the X-Wheel, I can show this video.

(Note, these were early designs. The finished products are better.)

The beginning of the video is a bit slow, then it speeds up a lot, I promise.

Thanks.

I did actually show some stuff that I didn't particularly like at the time.

Like that one tip tied log bouncing around and not going into a run to stay away from me.

If I wanted to be dodging big heavy things, I would be a bull fighter. I was a little pissed at the time, they said they didn't think they could go into a run with the many wraps they had.

The balloon was for camera work, but didn't turn out nice, didn't use much of it's footage in the video.

This might sound corny, I too strive for perfection however as humans we are any thing but perfect. This does not stop me from trying though

. I still liked the work very much......

X Man I just wanted to say I have enjoyed watching and learning from your videos for quite some time now...I know for a fact my rigging techniques and safe work practices in rigging have improved thanks in large part to watching and studying your's and Reg's vids...You are one of the most highly skilled arborists I have seen on video,I truly mean that...So Thank You for helping continue my education and keep up the great work...

Well then.

Thank you Steve.

I was beginning to think Reg and I should just give it up, because clowns like Daniel get all the attraction.

Your post is much appreciated,

Sorry X, been meaning to say how much I like your videos, all what... like 9 of them. I've been impressed with how you finally started throwing non perfect work up, you can't keep all that precious video to yourself!

It looked like a really fun job, nice to see you taking some big pieces, and great editing as always. It really shows that you take time in being safe and professional with every cut, every move, and your crew works so well together. I really like the X-rigging rings, I can tell it's going to be a must have for climbers now and of the future, nice job on the product demo as well. Stay safe and keep those videos coming!

Some great stuff X, no doubt.

But those midpoint ties on a few of the limbs make no sense to me. Might be a vid angle sort of thing.

And those tops you leave on your lowering points for "dampening" are going to bite you one day when you whip one hard enough my friend.

Rest assured that Daniel would call in sick before even attempting your caliber of work X.

Thanks for posting.

I don't do mid or a partial mid tie unless there is a reason for it.

I actually hate to see a climber not tie near the butt; like so many do. I am not one of them.

Thanks men, I guess I'll stop pouting now.

Great video, It look like a lot of fun that day and it seemed to go well (except that first piece). But hay shat happens once in a while

Good job.

I will be sending an email soon about our previous conversation a month or so ago.

Nice work all around. Looked like several trips up each tree... definitely a job the Wraptor would have been on.

Don't sell yourself short.

Great video x. When that first piece got hung up I felt your pain. It happens. Looking to get some of those x-rigging rings.
