Trouble with Up Equips 87-48

Well let’s try this I sent Up Equips a bill for 1000.00 for 6 repairs on track tension cylinders, removal clean grind weld reinstalled bill was put in box with remote that had trouble with never heard back or received payment. So I will make up bill for other tension cylinder repairs and bearing and race and machine work on shaft . Another bill for chassis’s angle cut changed and welded.Another bill for turret sensor removal and replace and test to make sure parallel voltage is there. All these bills will be sent with a check for 3000 .00 dollars in return Up Equips pays me for my labor for all the work above I have listed ,come pick up machine in the next couple of weeks repair chassis which should be covered warranty (part of structure) I would think have it back in 30 days in tip top working condition. I think this is quite reasonable request. I wait to here from you Martin thanks everybody for input have a good night and be safe out there

... Approximately 16 months ago I purchased a new 87-48 from the guys at Up Equips and have been having problem after problem... These problems all started in days of delivery... Up Equips wanted me to send back in my busy season ( not happening) 16 months after purchasing still not fixed...

Truly sorry for your problems, but man have you made some bonehead decisions. You have had a high dollar machine, for over a year, have been doing major repairs yourself even though its all under warranty. And now your pissed? They offered to take it back and fix it but that would have been inconvenient? Compared to what?

It does sound like you got stuck with a machine that needed fixing. Unfortunately the reason it is not fixed, from were I sit, rests squarely on your shoulders.

With the large amount of break downs I’ve had and relied on them to fix I’m not sure the machine would have got 20 hours on it an the payments don’t stop coming this is my reasoning hell they can have it for entire month now if they choose to this is our slow season thanks again

UPDATE:

RESOLUTION & CONCLUSION

Pa tree guy machine left our shop a little over a month ago, March 27, 2019. Since its return in PA, the issues for which we brought it in are resolved to the full satisfaction of Pa tree guy.

As soon as past due invoice was paid by Pa tree guy, we took arrangements to pick unit up in PA, we got it here and worked a few days on it, resolving the issue and resolving other unreported issues. We got unit delivered back to PA and it’s been working even better than when it was purchased according to Pa tree guy. Since we were asked questions regarding this situation by a few buzzers, we wanted to let you know how it ended up.

Pa tree guy: Would you please confirm the private statement you made to us, and that we did what we told you we would in front of the TreeBuzz community?

In advance thank you.

The guys at Up Equips did a good job on repairing machine and in a timely manner it’s just a shame that the way things had to be done to get matter resolved
Machine has had no problems for an entire month and hope it will perform that way for months to come I should say years to come
Wish it would have worked this well from the beginning Thanks pa tree guy

One thing I cannot stand when reading any type of forum is when the final results are never posted...everything left hanging in the breeze. It’s nice to see this resolution here.

My experience with UP Equip is all I could ever reasonably ask for. I wake up, and Martin has already made my coffee. Alain has contacted all my clients for the day, and Remi has finished fueling, greasing, and polishing the Easy Lift so it looks its best on the job site. Life just couldn’t be any better...

OK, jokes aside, I just hit 1,000 hours on my 87-48. I’ve done all the servicing based on the manufactures recommendations. The only issues I’ve had were minor, and were diagnosed and solved within an hour or so.

The most recent issue I had was a bad turret position sensor. It’s build with a redundant voltage configuration for safety. One side of the voltage readings was weak, indicating a bad sensor. Martin has a new one to my door within 36 hours, all under warranty. I used the supplied instructions to install it. 10 minutes later, I was back to work.

I’ve said this in another thread, but I can say it here...UP Equip’s support has been second to none. They have been friendly, timely, knowledgeable, patient, and thorough during every call for help I have ever made to them. The support with parts has been quick as well.

That said, if you carry this small list of things, they can help you out with just about any “head scratcher” issue in minutes over the phone:
- Multi-Meter
- Test Light
- 4mm, 5mm & 6 mm Allen Wrenches
- 10 mm Socket & Ratchet
- 19 mm Combination Wrench.

Love UPEquip! I want to buy a Hoeflon C10 from them like yesterday.
