Trees from a distance

That is unusual for Amelanchier to have a single stem like that. Were the lower branches/other stems all pruned up at some point or is it just shaped like that? The leaves looked wrong though the trunk looked right. Foiled again by the distance!
 
Very cool. There’s a few long skinny ones growing wild in our holler, not as tall as that one. Did you get a handful of berries? My mother in law just helped to harvest 100 pounds of serviceberries for a big batch of jam.
 
that’s a nice one! A lucky guess too, thanks for the clues. I saw a few that size when I did some timber stand improvement in Kentucky. Very cool to see another
 
I believe it was Amelanchier arboreal. There were no visible areas on the trunk where there could have been other trunks. At first I thought it was a wild plum, because the leaves/twigs are very similar. The bark and fruit are very different though.
