The trunk with the owl in it is about 60% dead/decayed, but the canopy of the tree is relatively healthy. Which is why I said 'copious deadwood in the trunk.' I don't know too many other trees that can stand up with the level of trunk decay that these trees do. It's a common Northeast tree, hardly ever planted, mostly a volunteer. If no one gets it soon, I'll give it to TL for the owl guess.
