X I'd gladly send you some seed. PM me your info. As far as the tree goes, I saw some in a hotel parking lot in Virginia and a fast food place in Penn. It doesn't exactly have strong wood, but it is very tough. This thing is in a parking lot island on campus, has had several years of drought and was accidentally root pruned by one of my employees with a bed edger two years ago. I thought it was done for. Tons of dieback. I pruned it out and it came back vigorously. I'm not sold on it as a street tree either. As you say Dianne time will tell on the virtues and pitfalls of this tree.we have had it for about ten years and I have found no volunteers, it does have a very heavy seed set and could be a problem if they were to germinate freely.
